The Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company (Saudi Kayan) is a Saudi Arabian PLC that is a leader in the chemicals, polymers and speciality products market. Its headquarters are located in Al-Jubail Industrial City, Saudi Arabia. It was founded according to Saudi Arabian regulations and registered with a capital of SR 15 billion. The company started operations on October 1st, 2011. The Saudi Kayan Petrochemical Company is one of the largest chemical companies in the world.
In 2008, Saudi Kayan bought a turnkey laboratory. OCS was selected as a supplier by Saudi Kayan because of its many years’ experience and technical know-how in implementing turnkey laboratory solutions for many well-known companies worldwide.
For the Saudi Kayan laboratory, OCS was tasked with these tasks from A to Z:
– Planning, designing and purchasing the chemical instruments
– Polymer equipment
– Glassware
– Electrical and technical gas distribution and other necessary utilities
– Installation and commissioning
– Training and after sales service
Even when there were specific points or aspects in the course of the project which revealed gaps in the technical specifications of the suppliers, OCS was able to quickly intervene and apply countermeasures using its expertise.
OCS has an extensive pool of experts who are familiar with all the requirements of laboratory projects and who played a key role in equipping the laboratories – taking into consideration specific Saudi Arabian requirements. The requirements and methodologies for certain types of testing were also defined.
